OWN THE ROOM

Live Event Production

Not just in the proposal. Not just in the rehearsal when everyone is calm. On the day, when the CEO is early, the deck is late, the remote guest has vanished into airport Wi-Fi and somebody has decided the running order is now “fluid”. That is where experience matters. I can own the room, the stream and the showflow. I work with agencies, AV suppliers and internal teams to make the event feel joined up, not like five suppliers orbiting one nervous producer.

Process · own the room

  1. Brief, format, showflow

First calls cover what the show is, who it is for and what could go wrong. We agree the running order and a cue-accurate showflow the whole team can run from, plus an equipment and crew plan scoped to the venue and the budget.

  2. Run-throughs & rehearsal

Pre-production planning, run-throughs and a technical rehearsal so the cue list is realistic, not theatrical. Speaker walk-throughs, comfort monitors and brief documents so talent know exactly what happens and when.

  3. In the chair, on comms

I am on talkback calling the show from load-in to the last cue — cameras, vision, audio, lighting, graphics and stage, with the client looked after in the room and the brand protected on screen.

  4. Wrap & debrief

On-site close-out, a clean handover of any deliverables, and a short written debrief: what went well, what would change next time. Day-rate, project-rate and retained support depending on scope.

Plain prose, three sentences. Date, format, scale, what would count as a good show. I reply within a working day.
